Biography:
Chaya J. Kudla

Chaya feels very fortunate to have grown up with Traditional Chinese Medicine as a primary method of healing throughout her life.  Her father, both a Naturopathic Doctor and a Licensed Acupuncturist brought the alternative healthcare picture into a living tradition within her home and daily life.  Growing up with an organic garden, a healthy whole foods diet and a holistic healthcare setting, she naturally adopted these ways of living as a young child and continued them into her professional career.

Chaya’s philosophy of care includes the belief in the body’s ability to heal itself.  She believes that with proper self-care, guidance and treatment, one can achieve optimal health both physically and mentally.  She is also an advocate of quieting the mind and maintaining inner self-awareness.

Her goal is to enhance one’s health in a gentle and compassionate manner, bringing the individual back into control and increasing their overall quality of life.  Through acupuncture, nutrition and Chinese herbal medicine, she assists the body in its natural healing processes, encouraging it to maintain balance and gain independence.

Chaya is a graduate of Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA and holds a Master’s of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  She traveled to China for advanced clinical rounds in herbal medicine at the Shuguang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shanghai.  She is licensed in the State of Washington and nationally board certified by the NCCAOM and a Diplomate in Acupuncture.  Chaya also studied yoga and meditation in India as well as massage therapy in Seattle, WA.
